Photos from ages ago...

Yes it is true...............I finally got around to scrapping these photos. I saw the Basic Grey Archaic line and knew it would be perfect for the big dig at the children's museum! So I picked some up, printed out my pictures and here they are displayed nicely for my faithful blog followers to view!

If anyone else has used this line for anything, I'd love to see. Leave a link to your project in the comments section!

Two More Disney layouts!

Ok, these are two more layouts I completed from our Disney vacation! My daughter is all about the princesses but I have to admit she sure loved the Toy Story characters as well.

The princess layout is full of glitz and rhinestone fun. While Toy Story is a bit more neutral with some fun colors mixed in. Those little signs on there....yep, they are real cute little wooden signs!

Contest time!

Ok, the last two projects I posted both contained Fiskars brand products, Heidi Grace and Li'l Davis designs. So I want you to dig through your stash of fun stuff and search for either Heidi Grace or Li'l Davis supplies and make anything you want. It can be a card, or altered item, or scrapbook page, or anything else you come up with! Create something fun and post a link to it here in the comments section. I will randomly choose one winner on Friday afternoon for a couple of fun Fiskars goodies!

Happy crafting!

Party In a Tube

Ok, here is another project I worked on in St. Paul this past weekend! This is a cool concept made out of a simple round mailing tube with plastic plugs in each end. I decorated it with patterned papers from Li'l Davis designs and embellished it using more product from Li'l Davis designs. Then I created a card, a hat, and picked up some confetti and party horns. Everything slips nicely inside the tube all ready to deliver to someone special on their birthday. So there is the party all inside.............just waiting to be let out! Oh and a special note: The hat is made from a 1/2 piece of Li'l Davis designs die cut cardstock! You just cut it in half and roll it up to make a party hat! Cool, huh?

Back from St. Paul and Fiskateer Fun!!!

Hello everyone!

I am back from Minnesota from a fun weekend with May and many Fiskateer friends. What a great time I had! It was so much fun meeting May in person for the very first time! She was warm, fun, friendly, and had so much time to share with Fiskateers and non-Fiskateers alike! I want to send May a special thanks for all the time she put into planning this event, her travel time, and of course all the wrap up time she will have when she returns home. I am sure her family missed her dearly and I am grateful to have gotten the opportunity to attend the event and meet May! I also want to put in a plug for the Scrapbook Shop in St. Paul, Minnesota. What a wonderful store! Man, talk about having a great stock of anything Fiskars or Fiskars brands. Wow! That store was so neatly arranged and it was so easy to find everything. The staff were great and boy did they find us some yummy italian food for dinner both nights! Thanks Rhonda and staff for hosting such a fun event for all!

This week I will show you some of the things I created while at the crops I attended. Many are Disney themed layouts from our trip there last fall. But I have set a goal to try to use papers that ARE NOT Disney related. I think when you look only for the Disney stuff you can get limited as to what you can find that matches with what photos you have. So I wanted to mix it all up and share how fun it can be to use any line and make it fun for Disney.

So above you can see a layout featuring Snow White. The Heidi Grace We Are Family collection were the perfect colors to highlight Snow White. I used two sheets from that line plus the yellow paper in the background is from the Lil' Davis brand. I also used chipboard and rub ons from the We Are Family collection. The colors just seemed to be a perfect match and as much as the photos are singing and dancing, I also wanted paper that would sing and dance and this was perfect!!!

Stay tuned throughout the week to get a peek of the other projects I completed during my time in St. Paul! Oh, and just so you keep checking I just might post some type of a contest this week.......so keep checking back! I did get some fun stuff from May and I just feel like sharing...

Boring blog!

Lately I feel like my blog is so boring! But right now I am not able to share photos of any of the projects I am working on because they are for the Craft and Hobby Industry show. (CHA) So until I get the thumbs up from manufacturers I will be unable to share anything new and exciting with you guys. I am going to a crop this weekend though and working on some Disney pages and some other projects so at the beginning of next week I will have photos to post on the blog. So make sure you check back then. For now I am going to post an old project I did that has not been on my blog, mostly because I feel bad I have not posted anything at all for so long!
This photo is using the Little Girls collection by Cosmo Cricket. They released this collection a couple of shows ago and I still just adore it! If you have a hard time finding any of their stuff just head over to www.misspaperjane.com and you can order anything you want right from that website! Are you ready for the really good new? Right now they are having a warehouse sale where lots of stuff is between 40-70% off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (um, including the Little Girls collection pictured above)

Thank you Scrapbook Studio and participants

So last night was my last Cosmo Cricket class at the Scrapbook Studio in Wausau. I just have to say what a wonderful time I had teaching there. A huge thanks to Jeanne and Sandy for hosting some Cosmo Cricket classes at the store...you guys are the best!

I also wanted to give a huge thanks to the customers of the Scrapbook Studio that took the classes. Each group was great fun and we had a lot of laughs. Just the way scrapbooking should be...FUN!!! I loved how creative each person was and how each individual was able to teach something to others in the group. What a pleasure to get to know each of you and be able to share some time together scrapping!

You know what I love?

Well, I do love many things like chocolate, gardening, my family, etc. But I get the greatest pleasure from creating with Paper. I have been elbow deep this past week and totally immersed in paper, adhesives, embellishments, and so many other fun paper crafting goodies! I was totally in my creative zone and loving every minute of it! Do you ever have those times where you just can't seem to get enough paper crafting?

Well, signing off for a few days to have time with my family and then next week I will be back in the creative zone again! I will try to check back in on my blog after the weekend.

Busy week!

Hey everyone!

I have a busy week this week so I'm not sure how much blogging time I will get in! I have quite a few projects on my plate and have to focus, focus, focus! So if I am not around as much, that is where I am!

On Tuesday night I am teaching another Cosmo Cricket class at the Scrapbook Studio in Wausau. This will be the layout class I showed earlier on my blog using the Fleuriste line. I just love teaching!

Ok, off to get going on things that need to get done! I will try to post again at least one more time this week even though I am busy!
